Meeting: A Sharing Session

This meeting will be entirely devoted to sharing work. We've had an incredible bounty of great speakers recently, and we'll have many more to come. But this month, we're taking a pause, to give everyone the opportunity to share and get feedback.

So whether you're a member, an occasional visitor, or a Yahoo Group reader who's never been to a meeting... bring something to share. Bring a project you're working on, or some recent shots you particularly like, or something you're a little disappointed with and want to work on or do better next time. Whatever you got! And see your own work through others' eyes. Or come and see what others are shooting, ask some questions, and learn from them.

If you bring prints, print 'em big -- 8x10 is OK but 13x19 is better! -- so everyone can see! If you'd rather share electronic images, you can do that too. We'll have a projector and laptop at the meeting so you can show 'em off big and bright.

If you bring electronic images, please follow these guidelines to make sure they look their best!

You can bring your images on a USB "thumb drive", compact flash card, SD card, Sony Memory Stick or CD-Rom.
Please bring JPEG images, not TIFF or RAW files, and have them in the sRGB color space.
Please keep your images under 2MB file size... larger files sometimes take a while to load.
If you've never thought about JPEGs or color spaces or file sizes... or you use a compact "point and shoot" digital camera, then your photos are almost certainly already in the right format. Just bring 'em in!
