Tom Giebel
Biography
Tom Giebel's photographs have appeared in many online publications including The New York Times, New York Magazine, New York Observer, and others. He has exhibited work in several group shows, including Look See: Reflection at the Brooklyn Artists Gym, As We See It at The Center, and Click! A Crowd-curated Exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum. A Wisconsin native, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin—Madison in 1988 and moved to New York city. He currently resides in Brooklyn, where he finds ample photographic inspiration.

Artist's Statement
There are places in this city where time seems to move at a slower, less even pace. Pockets of streetscape remain unimpressed with the pitiless march of progress. Here and there along the half-familiar streets, small gardens tend themselves.
