Ronald Spainhour
Biography
Ronald Spainhour moved to New York City the summer of 1968 when folk music reigned in the Village and flower children stood in line at the Fillmore East (the “Church of Rock and Roll”) for tickets to concerts by The Doors, the Grateful Dead, Richie Havens, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker and many others. His photos have been published in Time Out New York, the online Schmap New York Guide and shown at the Greenwich Arts Council’s Art to the Avenue exhibit in Greenwich, Connecticut and last year’s “As We See It” exhibit.

Artist's Statement
My interest in photography began during my first visit to Europe. However, my favorite subject has become New York City and its landmark buildings, sites and streets. I love the diversity of the City’s architecture, neighborhoods, and people. A special thanks to friends, relatives, and club members for their continuous support and encouragement.
