Photographer: Ronald Spainhour![]() Biography Ronald Spainhour moved to New York City the summer of 1968 when folk music reigned in the Village and flower children stood in line at the Fillmore East (the “Church of Rock and Roll”) for tickets to concerts by The Doors, the Grateful Dead, Richie Havens, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker and many others. His photos have been published in Time Out New York, the online Schmap New York Guide and shown at the Greenwich Arts Council’s Art to the Avenue exhibit in Greenwich, Connecticut and the 2009 and 2010 “As We See It” exhibits.
